NMC Welcomes Newest Team Member, Chelée Ross
NMC is happy to introduce our newest staff member, Chelée Ross! Chelée is a Web account coordinator and graphic designer.
Born in Manhattan, Chelée moved to Jamaica when she was five months old and grew up with her twin brother, two older brothers and grandmother. Living on the beach, Chelée awoke daily to “the most beautiful scenery” (a source for her creative perspective, I’m sure!).
When Chelée was 15, she was introduced to graphic design by a woman whom she refers to as her “fairy godmother.” A professional graphic designer, this woman became Chelée’s mentor, teaching her traditional art as well as graphic.
When asked about her first week at NMC Chelée said,
My first week was so nerve racking! But everyone here is nice and made me feel like I was part of the family. I’m happy to be here in a company that actually cares about its employees… there is such a nurturing environment that encourages creativity and personal expression that I haven’t experienced with other companies. I couldn’t be more excited to join the NMC team!”
A big week for Chelée, she not only started her job at NMC but she will be graduating from the prestigious Bowdoin College tomorrow with a bachelor of arts in visual art and art history and a minor in physics. Congratulations, Chelée!
Along with graphic design, Chelée is a talented artist. Several of us have stopped in our tracks when passing by Chelée’s office of paintings. You can see more of Chelée’s work and read her senior studio art blog showing the process of her paintings at tiptoptypeface.blogspot.com.
