Greetings from the windy city

My husband Jay and I have been in Chicago for a conference presented by Dave Wood of Agency Management Roundtable.  We’ve been interacting with several other marketing communications agencies which is always stimulating. It’s great to hear what’s happening in our business in other markets across the country. Continue Reading »

Playing with my new toys

I’ve been away from my blog for over a week…shame on me. I do have an excuse, however. I’ve been playing with my new toys.

First of all, I ordered a new iPod. My old one was nice, but it was full and had no more hard drive space for me to download podcasts. My new one is the new pink Nano, with 8 Gigs of space for all my stuff. I’ve grown to really love listening to podcasts. Word of Mouse and the Maine Film and Video Association

On Monday night, I was invited to speak to the Maine Film and Video Association about Marketing, Sales and Social Media. I talked about how the online world is not just made up of 15 year olds any more. I talked about how 2/3 of adult online travelers consumer online video and audio clips; 4 in 10 read blogs, share photos and take online tours. Also 1 in 4 post responses to blogs and participate in social networks. These adults, who are educated and affluent, no longer jst go online for information, they go online to interact.
