Announcing Friday Fab Foto Contest

This week’s Friday Fab Foto was taken by an avid hiker, Michael Hodsdon, while hiking the Appalachian Trail with friends on December 16, 2012.

NMC created a Marshall Plan for the Maine Appalachian Trail Land Trust in 2012, in order to help preserve the lands around the AT in Maine.

Do YOU have a photo you would like to submit?

If so, please visit  the NMC Facebook page and create a status update, telling a story about your photo (when/where it was taken, what you like about it, etc.) and attach the photo. Every week, we will pick one picture to feature as our Friday Fab Foto!

Share Your PR Success Story Today

Good afternoon!

On Tuesday, we announced a new contest being hosted by the Maine PR Maven. We are going to be giving away an iPod Nano to the blog entry that receives the most votes. Do you have a PR success story to share? Here at NMC, we are very pleased to share one of our very own victories as an example for you:

We encourage you to submit your PR achievement story, written or video format, and look forward to hearing from you soon.

New Contest Hosted by The Maine PR Maven

Want to win an iPod Nano?

We’re running a contest and we want to hear from you!  The Maine PR Maven wants you to share your success stories right here on this blog.

It can be argued that the success of public relations and social media is difficult to measure. At NMC, we beg to differ. Success comes in many forms. It can be the trust built within a community using PR that drives people to your business or watching the number of unique visitors to your site rise steadily and continuously through links with social media sites such as Twitter, Pinterest or Facebook.  It’s been proven that public relations coupled with social media have the ability to boost not only financial success, but also branding success, which in turn leads to business growth.

The Maine PR Maven will be hosting a contest from December 11 through May 31. Simply e-mail us at with your public relations success story, using PR Success for the subject line. Feel free to include up to two jpegs to illustrate your story.  We’ll post two stories a week on our blog, where it will be read by thousands of our readers every Tuesday and Thursday between January 1, 2013 and May 31, 2013. Whichever entry has the most votes after the voting period will win an iPod Nano in June of 2013. Please use the “vote” button located at the bottom of each post.
